Japan Airlines to offer 42 business class seats on Boston-Tokyo Narita flight

Japan Airlines recently announced it will be launching new flights services between Boston and Tokyo Narita from April 22, 2012. The airline will operate the new flight in partnership with American Airlines.

This will be the first nonstop service by any airline between Boston and Tokyo. It will also be the first nonstop flight to link Boston directly with Asia.

Japan Airlines in a statement said it will be offering 42 business class seats on its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to be operated on Boston-Tokyo Narita route.  Apart from this, 144 seats in Economy Class will also be available for bookings.

According to the airline, the business class will be fitted with JAL SHELL FLAT NEO seats in a 2-2-2 configuration, ensuring travelers either a window or aisle seat. 

With the help of Dreamliner’s LED system, the airline has created an original cabin lighting design to evoke a sense of the four seasons in Japan, such as pink hues reflective of cherry blossoms in spring season. In addition to this, the lighting also sets a more conducive environment for slumber, a refreshed wakening, and in-flight dining.

To mark the launch of the new Boston-Tokyo Narita route, JAL Mileage Bank and AAdvantage members will be able to earn double miles every time they fly between the two cities. This offer is valid for travel from April 22 through June 30, 2012.
