Japan Airlines to serve Japanese cuisine NORIBEN on premium economy flights

Japan Airlines has decided to introduce distinctive Japanese cuisine onboard its flights on several international routes. The airline will provide an array of delectable offerings to its customers as part of its lineup of in-flight meals onboard its flights on various international routes starting from September 1, 2012.

The airline in a statement said that it will be serving a delicious breakfast called NORIBEN to its passengers boarding premium economy flights on San Francisco, Singapore and Bangkok routes from Tokyo. Apart from premium economy class, the airline will also be serving NORIBEN to its passengers traveling in Economy Class on these routes.

NORIBEN is a Japanese dish prepared from Nori (dried seaweed) and served with steamed rice in a typical Japanese style lunch box (bento). Widely known for its curative properties, Nori has been use since ancient times. In Japanese cuisine this is an indispensable ingredient. This healthy and easy-to-eat meal is served with steamed rice in a typical Japanese style lunch box (bento). Appetizing side dishes are usually served along with NORIBEN.
