JetBlue Airways launches affordable business class service

JetBlue Airways has finally launched its affordably priced business class service “Mint” between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. The airline launched its business class flights on New York JFK-Los Angeles route starting from June 15, 2014.

The airline is planning to introduce its low-priced premium Mint service on all its flights operating between Los Angeles and New York JFK effective from August 3, 2014. JetBlue Airways further indicated that it will expand its Mint service from October 26 this year offering cost-effective travel to its customers between San Francisco and New York JFK.

Providing details about its premium Mint service, JetBlue Airways said that it will be featuring a total of 16 business class seats, including four private suites. The airline proudly exclaimed that the service will feature the longest fully-flat bed as well as the widest seat in the domestic market in the United States.

With the launch of its new Mint service, JetBlue Airways has now become the only airline in the United States as well as only among few in the world to provide private suites to its customers. Among other facilities to be provided to the customers include state-of-the-art LiveTV in-flight entertainment featuring a 15-inch flat screen along with 100 plus TV and satellite radio channels.

The launch of JetBlue Airway’s new value-price coast-to-coast business class flights this summer is expected to trigger a war among carriers and make the fight intense for the profitable transcontinental airline market.

Jamie Perry, JetBlue Airways’ Head of Product Development, said that by launching this affordable Mint service the airline wants to attract wealthy travelers in a big way, who have so far not displayed their loyalty with the airline for travel on its transcontinental New York-San Francisco or New York- Los Angeles routes. With this service the airline wants to keep the loyalty of such premium customers intact.
