JetBlue Airways launches new flights to Costa Rica from Boston

JetBlue Airways recently announced the launch of its new seasonal nonstop flight services to various destinations from Boston. JetBlue Airways, which is currently the largest airline operating from Boston Logan International Airport, said that it will begin nonstop flights to Costa Rica, Puerto Plata and Saint Lucia during the coming winter season.

The new nonstop seasonal flights to Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport, Puerto Plata’s Gregorio Luperón International Airport, and Costa Rica’s Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport will commence from November 1, 2014. The flights will operate once every week on Saturdays.

With new services, the airline will be operating flights on 54 routes out of Boston Logan International Airport. To celebrate the new seasonal services the customers took advantage of low fares starting at $199* one-way for travel from November 1 through December 6, 2014.

Robin Hayes, President of JetBlue Airways, said that the customers flying out of Boston will now get enhanced travel options for their vacations. He said that the airline offers more nonstop flights than other airlines to the Caribbean.

JetBlue Airways is presently offering nonstop flights services to 13 destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America from Boston. These destinations include Providenciales, Santo Domingo, Santiago, San Juan, Saint Thomas, Punta Cana, Nassau, Montego Bay, Cancun, Grand Cayman and Aruba.

The seasonal flights on Boston-Costa Rica, Boston-Puerto Plata and Boston-Saint Lucia routes will be operated with the help of a 150-seater Airbus A320 aircraft. The customers will be offered amenities such as one free checked baggage, complimentary non-alcoholic soft drinks and snacks.

Meanwhile, in yet another development JetBlue Airways announced that it is all set to launch nonstop flights services between Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville. The twice daily flights will start operating from October 29, 2014. The airline announced its decision to launch operations close on the heels after Fort Lauderdale-based Silver Airways disclosed its plans to conduct new flights on Fort Lauderdale-Jacksonville route starting from August 9, 2014. The flights will be operated thrice daily.
