New York-based low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways recently announced it will be launching its new nonstop flights to Curacao from New York by the end of this year. The airline said that it will start operating nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Curacao International Airport starting from December 2, 2014. This will be the airline’s only nonstop service to Curacao from New York. The airline will be offering twice weekly flights services between the two destinations to be operated every Tuesday and Saturday.
JetBlue Airways offered cheap airfares to its customers starting as low as $139* one way to celebrate the launch of the New York JFK-Curacao route. The cheap tickets will be valid for travel starting from December 2, 2014 until February 10, 2015.
The airline will be deploying a 150-seater Airbus A320 aircraft to operate flights between Curacao and New York JFK. The customers traveling on the route will be provided various amenities and services such as more legroom, seatback TVs for in-flight entertainment, complimentary meals and snacks, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, first-checked bag free, and comfortable seating.
Robin Hayes, President of JetBlue Airways, said that the airline takes pride in offering its customers a convenient and seamless connection by offering the only nonstop flights to Curacao from New York. He said that the airline is also excited to provide more nonstop flights services to the Caribbean than being currently provided by any other U.S. carrier.
Haynes said that Curacao will be JetBlue Airways’ 31st destination in the Caribbean on its flight network. He also disclosed that the launch of new Curacao-New York JFK route is part of the airline’s strategy to constantly expand into Latin America and the Caribbean, where the airline is offering one third of its flights services on its network.
