JetBlue launches Detroit flight makes the city 85th destination

JetBlue Airways has happy news for its travelers. The airline just recently launched service to Detroit. The flight between Boston and Detroit took off amid cheers and admirers waiting at both the airports. With this service, Detroit has become the 85th destination on the airline’s itinerary.

The New York based airline is expanding rapidly within and outside the United States. The latest nonstop service between the city pair is a proof that it is keen on widening its footprints in the country and intends to offer plane tickets to as many destinations as possible. It will use the services of Embraer 190 planes to operate thrice-daily service between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW).

The airline management is extremely pleased with the commencement of this service. On the other hand, the business communities as well as the travelers between these destinations too are happy. They believe these direct connections will open gateways for trade and commerce between these two cities. Detroit is a popular city in the state of Michigan and is a hub for one of the biggest Arab American communities within the country. Its focus cities include Hollywood Int'l Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Logan International Airport in Boston, Long Beach Airport, Luis Muñoz Marín Int'l Airport in San Juan, and Orlando International Airport. Some of the cities served include Nassau, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Montego Bay, St. Marten, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Charlotte, St. Croix, Lima, and Medellin.
