JetBlue Launches nonstop Service to Fort Lauderdale from Oct 29

JetBlue continues to expand its network at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This time it will offer direct once daily service from Pittsburgh to the city. Service to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will begin from October 29 this year.

Fort Lauderdale-Pittsburgh service is just one of the new routes declared by JetBlue as part of its 2014-2015 expansion plan. With this service Pittsburgh passengers will not only be able to fly to FLL but also to popular Caribbean destinations through JetBlue’s flights operating out of FLL to Punta Cana, Montego Bay and Trinidad and Tobago.

This is the second JetBlue flight to be operated from Pittsburgh. At present it flies to Boston four times a week. It was also serving flights to New York JFK from the city; however it was discontinued last year due to losses.

The once daily flight will depart from Pittsburgh at 0715 hours and arrive at 1000 hours. Return flight will depart from Fort Lauderdale at 1855 hours and arrive at 2131 hours. At present Southwest is the only other airline flying nonstop service on this route.

To celebrate the launch of this new service JetBlue is offering Introductory fares to passengers. One-way tickets are available for as low as $79*. Tickets are up for grab until April 22, 2014 for travel dates valid from October 29 through December 17.
