JetBlue will launch its Business Class by June 2014

JetBlue is all set to launch its "premium transcontinental" business class seats. These seats will first appear in June 2014 on its very popular New York-Los Angeles route.

The fully lie-flat seats will be fitted in the aircraft's A321 aircraft. First maiden flight fitted with these seats will depart John F. Kennedy International Airport at 0930 hours on June 15. SFO route will be the second one to exhibit these seats from October 26. All the seven JFK-LAX flights by the end of 2014 will sport these seats and all the five JFK-SFO flights will have the same by the end of March 2015.

"Premium transcontinental" business class seats also known as Mint will be fitted in the front five rows of the aircraft. There will be a total of 16 such seats on the aircraft. With 22.3 inches of width and 80 inches of length these seats will offer complete privacy, credit the sliding door that can convert four of these seats in a fully-enclosed private suite.

Seats enabled with massage functions, adjustable firmness, amenity kits for both men and women by Birchbox, a wake me up service indicator, 15 inches wide screen, free of charge Wi-Fi with higher bandwidth are some of the features that come along with these seats.

Robin Hayes, President JetBlue said that he is definite that no other airline in the country is offering such a business class product at such a cost. As far as the Wi-Fi goes we are nearly offering 4G speed to our passengers. He further said that JetBlue has a segment of passengers who wanted upgraded seats and were willing to pay extra. And that’s when we decided to come up with Mint.
