KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is all set to resume its seasonal flights to Miami effective from October 30, 2016. The direct service to be operated from Amsterdam will continue until March 23, 2017.
The airline will be operating winter seasonal service thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. An Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured with three classes will be deployed to conduct flights on Amsterdam-Miami route. The customers will be offered 30 seats in World Business Class. Those traveling in Economy Comfort will be offered 35 seats, while the Economy Class cabin offers a total of 178 seats.
Media reports said that the seasonal service by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is being resumed to Miami after briefly operating in 2012. Ever since, KLM looked up to its SkyTeam partners for serving Miami after codesharing with Delta Air Lines.
Meanwhile, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines recently started its new flights to Salt Lake City from Amsterdam starting from May 5, 2016. The flights on the route are being conducted twice daily on Thursdays and Saturdays. The airline will also be adding a third flight on Salt Lake City-Amsterdam route on Mondays every week effective from July 4, 2016.
According to the airline, the new flights to Salt Lake City would be supplementing the existing service between Amsterdam and Salt Lake City being currently operated by Delta Air Lines. It may be noted that Salt Lake City would be Delta Air Lines’ fifth hub. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is presently into codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines and offers flights to more than 50 destinations in North America out of Salt Lake City.
Peter Elbers, President and CEO of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, said, “The company has taken some important and quite bold steps towards recovery in 2015. The time has come now for KLM to reap the benefits. The airline is boosting its network with significant investments and offering even more choice of destinations to the customers.”
