Korean Air to debut A380 on Incheon-Atlanta route on July 6

South Korea’s national carrier Korean Air will be inducting its new 9th Airbus A380 aircraft to its fleet. With the new aircraft, the airline will also make its debut flight between Seoul’s Incheon International Airport and Atlanta International Airport from July 6, 2014.The airline will operate its A380 aircraft on Incheon-Atlanta route thrice weekly.

Apart from the Incheon-Atlanta route, Korean Air is also operating its Airbus A380 aircraft on Incheon-New York and Incheon-Los Angeles routes as well in the United States. The airline is operating 14 flights every week on each of the two destinations. The airline is also offering 7 flights every week between Seoul Incheon and Paris utilizing its A380 aircraft.
 
Korean Air said that the Airbus A380 aircrafts it is presently operating on several international routes is configured in three classes with a total of 407 seats. Korean Air became the first international carrier in the world to devote its entire upper deck to business class passengers.

According to the airline, the single class upper deck will comprise a total of 94 fully flat “Prestige Sleeper” business class seats. The airline says that the passengers traveling in this class will get a new flying experience as if they are flying on all-business class aircraft.

Among others, the aircraft will be equipped with 12 ultra-luxurious First Class Kosmo Suites, which can be found in the front of the lower deck. The passengers traveling in Kosmo Suites will be provided independent space and complete privacy.

The Airbus A380 aircraft will also have 301 seats in Economy Class. According to Korean Air, the seat pitch of 34 inches will undoubtedly be most spacious than what is being currently offered in Economy Class by other airlines. The airline will also be providing “New Economy” seats that are ergonomically designed ensuring utmost comfort to customers traveling on long-haul flights.
