LAN Peru launching first ever nonstop Lima-Orlando flight June 20

Peru’s capital city Lima will now get its first ever Floridian connection with the launch of the new nonstop flights to Orlando starting from June 20, 2015. LAN Peru, an affiliate of LATAM Airlines Group, will become the first airline to begin nonstop flights between Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport and Orlando International Airport, which will be operated daily. The flight tickets are already up for sale.
 
The airline will be deploying an Airbus A319 aircraft to operate flights between the two destinations. The launch of new nonstop service has come as a boon for passengers from Orlando and other parts of the U.S. to efficiently connect beyond Peru to over 114 destinations in South America on LATAM Airlines Group and its affiliates’ network. The airline has plans to carry more than 80,000 passengers every year from South America to Orlando via Lima.

LAN Peru in a statement said that Orlando will be its fourth gateway in the U.S. The other three U.S. destinations where the airline is offering its services include Los Angeles, Miami and New York. LAN Peru along with its codeshare partners is currently offering connections to over 100 destinations in the United States.

Meanwhile, LAN Peru also announced that it will be launching two additional flights services per week to Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport starting from April 4, 2015.

The launch of flights to Orlando by LAN Peru will only be eight days after TAM Airlines launches its new service between Orlando and Brasilia. TAM Airlines is also an affiliate of LATAM Airlines Group, the current operator of LAN Peru.
