LOT Polish Airlines offers up to 50 percent off from Chicago, JFK

Poland’s flagship carrier LOT Polish Airlines recently announced that it will be offering its customers half a million cheap flight tickets to Poland with discounts of up to 50 percent.

A spokesperson of LOT Polish Airlines said that the sale offer will be applicable to all classes of service on flights to Warsaw from New York JFK and Chicago. The travel period on this offer will be valid from December 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. The blackout dates will be around Christmas and Easter. Other terms and conditions will however be applicable on this offer.

According to the airline, the discount offered will be on the base fare before adding fuel charges and airport taxes that will be adding hundreds of dollars to international fares. The discounts will however vary with demand and by market.

Travel experts said that fare sales are common in the aviation industry, though 50 percent off is unusual. The sale offer of up to 50 percent off announced by LOT Polish Airlines could lead to a rivalry among the competitors with some of them even deciding to match the sale prices in near future.

Meanwhile, LOT Polish Airlines has revealed its plans that it will be expanding services on its routes to Poland from Chicago, where the largest Polish population outside the Polish capital city Warsaw resides. The airline said that it is increasing its frequencies from the winter season and would be operating two flights each to Warsaw from New York JFK and Chicago.
