LOT temporary withdraws Flights to Cairo, Beirut and Damascus

The LOT Polish Airline recently announced the suspension of its flights that operate between Warsaw and Cairo, Beirut and Damascus. The airline decision came due to the unstable social-political conditions, which have resulted into the lower demand of passenger traffic over the above routes.

The airline will suspend its flight service between Warsaw and Cairo from 2nd May 2011 until 30th June 2011 and the flights operating over the Warsaw-Beirut route will stop their operations from 7th May 2011 till 23rd June 2011. The flights that operate between Warsaw and Damascus will be suspended from 12th May 2011 to 20th June 2011.

According to the carrier, air traffic particularly at the Cairo airport has been disrupted and the air operations during the night hours nearly seem to be impossible. This has further disturbed the flights schedules.
