Low cost carrier JetBlue unveils business class mini-suites

Budget carrier JetBlue has surprised all in the aviation sector. The budget carrier unveiled its maiden mini-suites for business class passengers and entered the fray with much fanfare. Along with the launch the airline also promised to offer business class tickets at fares much cheaper than most of its competitors. Until now the carrier has always offered economy class travel to its customers.

Its new business class segment comprises 16 seats of which four are mini-suites with sliding doors that promise to offer privacy to the passengers. It also has chairs that are spacious and can be converted into flat massage beds. 12 other seats in the private cabin are not equipped with privacy doors but contain lie flat beds, 15-inch touch screen TV with an offering of 100 channels, Wi-Fi connectivity and USB sockets as its amenities.

This is the first time in its 13 years of operations that the airline has offered something premium for its customers.

JetBlue Airways is an American budget carrier which has its headquarters based in Long Island City. It operates out of its main hub at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, a borough of the New York City.
