Lufthansa first class flights to become costlier

Germany’s national flag carrier Lufthansa recently announced its airfares on long-haul routes have now been increased.

The airline said that it had to take the decision to increase the prices of tickets on long-haul flights because of higher operational costs.

Lufthansa in a statement said that the customers planning to book first class flights will now be required to pay between $128.93 (100 Euros) and $193.47 (150 Euros) more for round-trip first class tickets.
 
The airline also stated that for purchasing round-trip Economy Class tickets the customers will have to pay $25.79 (20 Euros) more. Those traveling in Business Class will have to pay $77.35 (60 Euros) more for their tickets.

According to the airline, the prices of first class tickets for U.S. flights will now go up by 193.47 (150 Euros) more. While, the round-trip tickets for Economy Class will cost $38.67 (30 Euros) more. For travel in Business Class the customers will have to pay $77.35 (60 Euros) more.
 
The airline has, however, not increased the ticket prices for flights to/from Japan, and also for Economy Class tickets for travel between China and Hong Kong.
