In partnership with the Leela Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, Lufthansa has launched brand new menus for passengers onboard. The revamped menu is the creation of Chef Vinod Saini and is mainly enjoyed by premium economy, business, first and economy class passengers flying to and from India.
Curated with a contemporary twist, the dishes served onboard are relatively an amalgamation of traditional Indian ingredients. The most nutritional appetiser such as roasted chicken is prepared with carrots, sunflower seeds, raw mango salad, sesame oil, honey and mint leaf. The main menu features the delicious chandani murgh korma, martaban gosht and shalgam gosht. Desserts served inflight is truly lip-smacking. Passengers can enjoy coconut/lychee rice pudding and baked rasgulla with caramel sauce.
Presently, Chaayos masala tea has also been introduced onboard which is supreme in taste as it is a mix of well-known Assam tea, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, dried ginger, and cinnamon.
Wolfgang Will, senior director, South Asia, Lufthansa Group stated, ‘Meeting the passenger’s demands and catering to their preferences is the sole responsibility of the airline. Indian customers crave for diverse, delicious yet a healthier dining option while onboard. The newly curated inflight menu is designed keeping in mind the altering customer’s demands and assures our commitment for betterment. We are trying to become more Indian than one could think.
