Lufthansa named Europe’s Leading Airline at World Travel Awards

European flyers booking airline tickets on Lufthansa German Airlines are a happier lot. Lufthansa proudly announced that it has once again been voted ‘Europe’s Leading Airline’ for the third consecutive time at the recently-concluded World Travel Awards. Lufthansa competed with top 11 European airline brands to finally emerge as a winner.

The World Travel Awards are given every year as a commendation to the best of Europe’s travel industry. Some 230,000 travel tourism and hospitality professionals from across the world are involved in the voting process to select the top winner as well as those in various other categories.

‘Europe’s Leading Airline’ World Travel Award comes close on the heels after Lufthansa was recently declared winner as ‘Best European Airline in the Middle East’ during the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2013 held in Dubai recently.

Lufthansa had also won the prestigious ‘Best Transatlantic Airline’ and ‘Best Western European Airline’ at the World Airline Awards that concluded in Paris earlier this summer.
