German flag carrier Lufthansa opened its world’s largest lounge on July 5, 2011, at the Frankfurt airport, area B.
The new Senator Lounge is the largest Lufthansa Lounge worldwide. The new lounge will be substituting the current lounge situated in the departure area B-East.
The lounge is equipped with more than 300 seats extending to an area of over 1,800 square meters. The lounge has a lot of space for additional services to enable the passengers pass quality time much quicker before their scheduled departure.
The lounge also has a wellness area for passengers to relax both their soul and body. Besides, the passengers will get an opportunity to refresh themselves with beautifully scented beauty products in ten top class showers.
The lounge is also equipped with treatment rooms in which the passengers can enjoy a relaxing massage and ease their tensions to a great extent. Spa treatments of various kinds are also available, such as facial and body treatments, pedicures, manicures, and many others completing the wellness program. However, the Spa treatments are available for a fee through the lounge partner Babor.
The City Lights bar is a major highlight in the newly opened lounge where the passengers can enjoy delicious drinks – from the newest trendy cocktail to the tried and tested classics.
The passengers are also provided current magazines, daily newspapers, televisions and WiFi to keep themselves up-to-date with latest happenings around the world, and be entertained as well.
The work area in the lounge can be used to conduct business meetings, and delicious snacks can be had from the bistro area in the new Senator Lounge.
The Lufthansa further disclosed that good news awaits for frequent flyers in the airport at Munich. The
Lufthansa Senators will make use of a newly furnished and enlarged lounge with stylish interior from September 2011.
