Lufthansa serving Los Angeles-Frankfurt route with A380 flights

Germany’s national carrier Lufthansa recently announced the launch of its inaugural Airbus A380 service between Los Angeles and Frankfurt. Media reports said that the airline started operating its A380 flights to Los Angeles from Frankfurt from May 4, 2015.

The reports said that Airbus A380 aircraft is presently one of the largest and most technologically advanced passenger aircraft. The aircraft has the latest interior designs and new products in all the travel classes. The passengers traveling on the route are promised great on board flying experience.

Providing the flight schedule, the reports quoting a Lufthansa spokesperson said that the Flight LH456 will depart from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) at 10:05 hours and arrive at Los Angeles International Airport at 12: 40 hours. Similarly, the return Fight LH457 will make its departure from Los Angeles at 15:10 hours and reach Frankfurt at 11:10 hours next day.

Los Angeles has now become Lufthansa’s fifth A380 destination in the United States and the 11th A380 destination on the airline’s global network. Apart from Los Angeles, the other routes in the U.S. being currently served by Airbus A380 aircraft include New York City, Houston, San Francisco and Miami. The Airbus A380 aircraft has the capacity to carry a total of 509 passengers and also boasts of having Lufthansa’s new First Class product.

Juergen Siebenrock, Vice President of the Americas at Lufthansa, said, “With the launch of Airbus A380 aircraft to Los Angeles now the airline will significantly offer enhanced travel experience to its customers this year. Also, all the long-haul aircrafts would be upgraded featuring latest cabins and state-of-the-art seats in all travel classes.”
