Lufthansa to provide US chefs-created delicious meals in business class

Germany’s flag carrier Lufthansa recently announced it will start providing one-of-a-kind, delicious meals to its First and Business Class passengers onboard its flights between US and Germany.

According to the airline, passengers booking business class seats will be served with a three-course meal consisting of Tuna Carpaccio with Mizuna Leaf, and Chicken Split Pea salad with Plume Chutney, with Miso Glazed Cod with Soba Noodles, Bean Sprouts and Ginger Soy Dressing, and Semolina Potato with Tomato Crème Sauce and Fresh Vegetable Ragout. The dessert to be served will be New York Cheese Cake with Raspberry Compote.

Lufthansa in a statement said it has partnered with the luxury hotel chain Mandarin Oriental to provide luxury meals onboard its flights from US to Germany. The meals will be prepared by Mandarin Oriental’s award-winning chefs, who hail from San Francisco, New York and Miami.

The menu to be served has already been planned, and includes dishes like Dungeness crab and avocado salad, served with lemongrass gazpacho dressing; and braised beef short ribs, accompanied by fava bean purée with wasabi and red cabbage slaw. These dishes are among two out of the four-course meals to be served to passengers in First Class.
