Lufthansa to refurbish Boston and Dubai lounges

To expand the Senator facilities at both airports, Lufthansa Airlines will refurbish its lounges in Boston and Dubai.

The airline in its refurbishment process will increase the area at the Boston airport lounge and will separate the present combined business class and Senator Lounge. There will be two separate lounges - Senator and business class lounge that will lie opposite to each other. Both the lounges will feature “welcoming new design” and will have a total of 130 seats with a larger “more modern” bistro area.

Since the existing lounge is closed for renovation Lufthansa passengers are allowed to use the Air France lounge at Terminal E, which is located after security opposite gate 3B.

The Dubai Senator lounge will be fitted with 68 seats, providing sufficient space to relax and work. The lounge will also provide a high-quality selection of food and beverages.

After the refurbishment of the senator lounge business class passengers will use the airport-operated Marhaba lounge located at 123/125 gate. Presently the airport-operated Marhaba lounge is being used by all Lufthansa passengers.

“Lufthansa First and Business Class passengers and Miles & More customers with a Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle status can look forward to a significant improvement in the Lufthansa lounge service at Boston and Dubai airports from summer 2011,” as per the release by Lufthansa.
