Lufthansa unveils new Business Class on Munich-Washington DC route

Germany’s national carrier Lufthansa recently unveiled new First and Business Class cabins on its newly-acquired Airbus A330-300 aircraft on Munich-Washington DC route.

The inaugural flight took off from Munich International Airport to Washington Dulles International Airport on May 22, 2012.

Lufthansa had earlier showcased the new Business Class to the people in March this year at the world’s leading travel trade show ITB Berlin.
The Airbus A330-300 aircraft is Lufthansa’s first to feature the new Business Class. The airline provided details about the features of the business class cabins. According to the airline, each of the 48 business class seats is equipped with an integrated air-cushion system with which the seats can fold flat to create a bed 1.98 meters long for the utmost in comfort for the travelers.

The passengers taking business class flights are also being offered an individual entertainment program with the new, enlarged 15-inch monitors. The airline is offering broadband internet service to the passengers onboard the flights between Munich and Washington DC.
