Lufthansa upgrades business class cabins in its 747-8 aircrafts, gives Living-Room feel

Germany’s flag carrier Lufthansa recently upgraded its business class cabins providing homely comfort to its passengers.

The airline is due to take delivery of new Boeing 747-8 aircrafts in next few months. The new aircrafts have been fitted with flat-bed business class seats providing 8 percent more space.

According to Lufthansa, the business class cabins have been designed in such a way that the passengers will get more of a “living-room feel” on-board their flights. The existing blue and silver-dominated scheme has been replaced with the “warmer” colors.

So far, Lufthansa’s rivals like British Airways had an edge over the airline in offering flat-bed seating. But with the delivery of new Boeing 747-8 aircrafts fitted with flat-bed seats soon, Lufthansa also hopes to attract business travelers in a big way.

Lufthansa has also announced that it will retrofit the rest of its long-haul fleet within three or four years.
