Melia Hotels International launches first U.S. property ME Miami

Melia Hotels International, a premier resort hotel chain in the world, recently announced the launch of its first property in the United States. The recently-introduced ME by Melia property is named “ME Miami”.

Media reports said that the new Bayfront property is scheduled to open in the spring of 2015. The launch of the first ever U.S. property is being seen as a major step in the brand’s evolution globally taking its expansion strategy forward to the United States, one of the most visited and famous destinations in the world.

Gabriel Escarrer, CEO and Vice Chairman of Melia Hotels International, said that the launch of ME Miami is a matter of great pride and incredible excitement. He said that it is indeed thrilling that this project is being brought to Miami, which is undoubtedly the most iconic city in the United States with all its offerings and the strategic location.

The property will be coming up at downtown Miami taking over the existing location of Casa Moderna Hotel at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard. The ME Miami hotel will be situated at the trendiest location in the city, where the new Miami World Center, including a huge shopping mall is coming up as well.

According to the reports, ME Miami will comprise of two rooftop pools, 129 rooms, and above 5,000 square feet of renovated space that can be converted into expansive dining and event spaces with excellent food and beverage facilities. The property will be exquisitely designed keeping in view the excellent standards maintained by ME by Melia brand.
 
The report also stated that one of ME Miami’s signature food and beverage amenities will be its first ever STK Rebel, which will be a casual version of the traditional steakhouse offering indoor as well as outdoor dining options. Apart from this, ME by Melia’s signature Aura Managers would be present onsite providing insight on downtown Miami and its cultural offerings as experts.
