Miami Weather and Travel Year-Round

Wondering what temperatures you will find or weather you will encounter when you land in Miami after your cheap flight? Though the state is known for its favorable year-round sun and temperatures, the weather does fluctuate, especially during the tropical weather months. So when booking your flights to Miami, consider this weather guide to help you pack for your Florida vacation.

January through March
January through March is some of the high peaks of tourists taking flights to Florida to escape the cold weather of other areas. The average high temperature these months ranges from 75 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit, while the low ranges from 59 to 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Therefore, if visiting January through March, a light jacket for the evenings and shorts and t-shirts for the days should get you by just fine. Though Miami receives rainfall during these months, the highest average is in March where you can expect 2-inches of rain.

April through June
April through June is an entirely different story. Though most would assume this is the best weather to purchase airline tickets, it is often the most unpredictable. Humidity begins to rise in April as well as the rainfall. By June, rainfall jumps to expected 9-inches of rain. With that rain, comes tropical storms that have high winds, warm temperatures and torrential downpours. The average temperature, however, is in the 80s while the low is in the 70s. Be prepared for your cheap flights to Miami to get delayed with such unpredictable storms and possible hurricanes.

July through September
Hurricane season is still in full bloom for travelers taking advantage of plane tickets to Miami in the end of summer. The rainfall drops to an average of 7-inches and the temperatures hold at a consistent 80 degrees Fahrenheit for the high and 70 degrees Fahrenheit for the low. Again, flights to Miami in the late summer will often find delays due to heavy rainfall, tropical storms and intense winds building up off the coast. Therefore, check the weather before boarding your plane and be prepared to experience a few delays.

October through December

One of the best times to visit Miami is during the late fall/early winter months. October and November still offer up low to high 80s and the low in December reaches mid-60. The rainfall drops to an average 4-inches and tropical storms tend to lessen as well as hurricane warnings. Overall, if you are looking for cheap tickets and a quick getaway, consider Miami during these months.
