Millennium Hotels and Resorts announce upgrades in 3 U.S. cities

Millennium Hotels and Resorts in a statement recently said that it remains committed to the North American market as ever. The leading global hotel chain has recently announced upgrades at hotels in Buffalo, Anchorage and Los Angeles as mark of its commitment.

Media reports said that a total of 248 guest rooms in the Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage will be renovated along with the hotel exterior at an estimated cost of $8.3 million. The rooms will be revamped in a way that they aptly reflect a high-end Alaskan lodge feel and will be prominently featuring a warm color scheme and natural earth tones. These upgrades come close on the heels of recent revamp of the hotel’s public spaces, including the Flying Machine Restaurant, Fancy Moose Bar, meeting spaces, lobby, and the outdoor Deck at Lake Hood overlooking the world’s busiest floatplane Lake Spenard. It is the only lakeside hotel in Anchorage. The new upgrades would be unveiled by the spring thus concluding the hotel’s phased renovations.

The reports also said that a multi-million dollar phased refurbishment will be undertaken at Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles in downtown L.A. The project will see a total of 683 guest rooms and suites being upgraded starting from spring 2015. The iconic hotel was founded in 1923 and was named the Host of the Coast. This major convention hotel is presently the third largest in downtown Los Angeles. The renovated classic guest rooms will complement the 1920s Italian Renaissance architecture perfectly blending historic grandeur with modern elegance.

The Millennium Hotel Buffalo will also be completely renovated. All its 300 guest rooms and suites would don new look and equipped with modern amenities. The hotel’s restaurant, public spaces and meeting spaces will also be renovated. The upgrades are due to complete mid-summer.
