Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport Gets New Routes

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is all set to offer new routes this season. Now passengers traveling to/from Minneapolis-St. Paul will be able to fly to Los Angeles, Trenton, Frankfurt and more.

Spirit Airlines famous for its ultra-low fares will be offering seasonal flights from May till November. It will offer daily flights to both Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Baltimore/Washington from May 1. It will also offer daily seasonal flights to Detroit from May 22. All these three services will end on November 1, 2014.

Frontier Airlines, another low-cost carrier will launch seasonal flights between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Trenton-Mercer Airport. Termed as "gateway to New Jersey's state capitol" this Minneapolis-Trenton service will offer passengers access to Philadelphia and southeast Pennsylvania. This service will begin from June 13 and will operate every Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A 138 seats Airbus 319 aircraft will operate on this route.

Passengers interested in flying beyond Philadelphia can make use of the Frankfurt service offered by Condor Airlines from MSP. This service will be functional from MSP's Terminal 2. This seasonal service operated by Boeing 767-300 will fly every Mondays and Thursdays from June 26 through September 11.

Even United Airlines has added a new seasonal schedule from MSP Airport. The airline will offer medium-haul twice-daily flights between MSP and LAX. Twice-daily flights will leave Los Angeles at 0600 hours and 1600 hours, outbound flight will depart from Minneapolis at 0840 hours and 1800 hours. Both these flights will be operated by CRJ-700 regional jets. Depending upon seat configuration, United will offer 66 or 70 seats on this route. MSP-LAX service will offer First Class, Economy Plus and Coach Class seats.
