More pre-flight luxury offerings by international airlines now

In these times of growing competition, leading international airlines are leaving no stone unturned in offering more pre-flight luxury for their first class and business class customers as well as premium frequent flyers. With hotel-like facilities, quality meals served in restaurant-style environments and pre-boarding spa treatments, flying has become an indeed luxurious experience. Qantas Airways

Qantas Airways has recently introduced a team of wine experts and mixologists in association with Neil Perry’s Rockpool group. The airline will seek their help in selecting beverages to be offered to its first and business class customers in lounges and on its domestic and international flights.

Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways opened its first and business class lounge at Sydney International Airport in May 2014. The lounge is seen prominently featuring a la carte and buffet dining. A special children’s play room is also available for parents visiting with their kids. The facilities are similar to those offered at Abu Dhabi International Airport, where premium customers are offered massage treatments and all-day breakfasts with flexible menus.

Cathay Pacific Airways

Cathay Pacific Airways has revamped its first and business class lounges at its main hub Hong Kong International Airport. The airline’s Pier First-Class lounge has been given a brand new look recreating the feel of an apartment where you will be treated to a fine display of furniture pieces, food, music and art. In order to complement the residential look, the airline offers eight private day suites, grab-and-go pantry, work bureau, library, a dining room and foot massages on request.
