New budget carrier Scoot to offer cheap tickets on Australian flights

New budget carrier Scoot recently launched its flights to Australian cities. The airline is planning to offer cheap tickets to Singapore from Australia.

Scoot, which is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, recently launched its flights between Sydney and Singapore. The airline is also introducing Gold Coast flights, with more flights planned to other destinations in future.

The airline in a statement said that the customers can expect to get cheap flights to Singapore up to 40 percent cheaper than full-cost carriers like Qantas Airways. 
 
According to the airline, more than 100,000 tickets have already been sold out. The airline offered cheap flights tickets starting from $179 on Sydney-Singapore route.

Singapore Airlines launched the budget carrier in response to a similar budget carrier recently unveiled by Qantas Airways.

Qantas Airways’ subsidiary Jetstar is also expected to launch low-cost flights on Sydney-Singapore route and aggressively compete with the newly-launched Singapore Airlines’ subsidiary Scoot.
