Now, business class travelers taking flights out of Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) await an enhanced experience. Air Canada recently unveiled a new exclusive check-in for business class customers or those holding select Premium status. The facility at the dedicated concourse came into effect starting from January 21, 2016.
The new Business Class check-in will be situated in the former Aisle 1 on Toronto Pearson International Airport’s departure level. The check-in area will be open for access to all Air Canada’s customers booking business class tickets or traveling in Premium Economy. The check-in area can also be accessed by Premium rouge customers, as well as Star Alliance Gold members, and Altitude Elite 50K and higher members.
The eligible customers will also have access to concierge office and dedicated Super Elite 100K check-in counter, both being also located within the Business Class check-in area. However, other Priority customers would as usual be gaining access to Priority check-in in Aisle 5 for international flights and Aisle 3 for domestic flights.
Media reports also said that Air Canada would also be soon enhancing Priority check-in for its customers taking flights out of Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver airports. Apart from the recent launch of exclusive Business Class check-in area, the airline had recently also introduced a series of upgrades for its Premium customers. The new innovations among others include a refined Altitude frequent flyer program, a dedicated Premium Economy cabin, next generation lie-flat suites for customers in International Business Class, new cabin interiors on the airline’s wide-body fleet, enhanced boarding and check-in procedures, a partnership with famous Canadian chef David Hawksworth for creating meals for the Maple Leaf Lounges and International Business Class, and revamped Maple Leaf Lounges.
Benjamin Smith, Air Canada’s President – Passenger Airlines, said, “It is a matter of great delight that Air Canada has decided to offer its select Premium customers an enhanced experience both on ground and on board their flights. The enhanced level of care includes concierge services and expedited check-in delivered in a lounge setting through the newly unveiled exclusive Business Class check-in area at our global hub Toronto Pearson International Airport.
