New Lufthansa business class lounge opens at Newark

Germany’s flagship carrier Lufthansa has recently opened its new premium lounges at the Newark Liberty International Airport. The new lounges would be accessible to customers booking business class tickets and first class. The lounges were built at an estimated cost of $3.7 million and have been designed by renowned architects from New York.

Lufthansa’s new Business and Senator lounges are situated in Terminal B at Newark Liberty. The passengers can access the lounges located near by the Lufthansa departure gate and from the Scandinavian Airlines lounge that was previously used by Lufthansa to host its customers. According to the airline, the new feature of the lounges is its “Fast Lanes” at the security checkpoint that can be used by the First Class and Business Class passengers for expedited boarding. The Business Class lounge is constructed in an area of 1,946 square feet and can accommodate 60 passengers at a time.

Juergen Siebenrock, Lufthansa’s Vice President – The Americas, said that the airline considers Newark Liberty International Airport as a leading gateway. The customers would now get a unique experience while experiencing the newly-built lounge. He also expressed thanks to Scandinavian Airlines for being a tremendous host and offering convenience to its customers all along.
