United Airlines recently opened its newly renovated United Club lounge at Los Angeles International Airport for its business class customers. This will be the airline’s one of the largest lounges spanning in an area of 1,900 square meter. The renovation of the lounge is part of the airline’s $573 million project to improve customer facilities at Terminals 7 and 8 of the airport. Among the amenities offered at the United Club lounge include work seating, lounge space, a big kitchen and bar area, and an outdoor terrace offering panoramic views of Los Angeles skyline and Hollywood Hills.
Julia Haywood, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of United Airlines, said, “We consider Los Angeles International Airport quite important part of our global route network. It is a proud moment for the company to house one of its finest United Clubs at this key airport. We are committed to providing hospitality and exceptional service to our customers with the unique amenities that we are going to provide. We also believe that the newly renovated United Club will elevate their experience, and truly delight and impress them.”
Meanwhile, in yet another development United Airlines inaugurated its first Polaris Lounge in a series at Chicago O’Hare International Airport in late November this year. With the launch of Polaris Lounge, the airline has tried to create one unified product by merging the existing first class and business class products. Moreover, the unveiling of Polaris Lounge is also part of the airline’s revamp and upgrade of the premium cabins and the customers’ airport experience.
Among the various amenities being offered at the Polaris Lounge include multi-course pre-flight sit-down meals, eye masks, earplugs, daybeds with slippers, spa-like shower facilities with premium Cowshed amenities, and specialty wine lockers. The Polaris Lounges will provide exclusive access to United Airlines’ Polaris and Star Alliance premium customers.
