Now select wines on Japan Airlines North America, other routes

Japan Airlines (JAL) has good news for its premium customers traveling on routes in North America, Asia, Oceania and other major destinations. Japan’s national carrier has now started serving Peachy Canyon Winery's Westside Zinfandel 2011 from Paso Robles to customers traveling on business class flights to North America, Asia, Oceania and other important destinations effective from early August 2014.

The wines for 2014 were selected by Japan Airlines from a group of over 1,000 wines proposed by wineries and importers from different parts of the world. The selection process was rigorous. After the first review on paper, the wines were finally selected after putting through a blind tasting panel. Those who participated in the blind tasting for choosing the final wines included 15 JAL in-flight staff with Sommelier certificate status and Ms. Fumiko Arisaka, a renowned wine journalist in Japan.

Peachy Canyon Winery's Westside Zinfandel 2011 was finally chosen in Business Class Red Wine World Category by the blind tasting panel for service starting from summer of 2014. The business class fliers will be served this premium wine for a period of six months.

The independent wine reviewers adjudged Peachy Canyon Winery's Westside Zinfandel 2011 wine for its outstanding quality. The Westside Zinfandel 2011 wine was awarded a 95-point rating and Best of Class designation by the California State Wine Competition. Apart from this, this wine was also awarded two 90-point ratings from Stephan Tanzer's International Wine Cellar and Wine Enthusiast.

The Peachy Canyon Winery, where the famed Westside Zinfandel 2011 wine, is produced is situated in the western part of Paso Robles.
