Porter Airlines begin nonstop flights on Charleston-Toronto route

Low-cost carrier Porter Airlines recently launched its nonstop flights between Charleston International Airport (CHS) and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ). This will be the airline’s newest seasonal route and only nonstop service providing connectivity between Charleston and Canada.

The seasonal service on Charleston-Toronto route has started operating from February 14 and will continue till May 2, 2015. The airline will offer a roundtrip service once every week on Saturdays.

According to Porter Airlines, its customers will also be able to travel every day to/from Charleston as well by selecting an itinerary that will also include JetBlue Airways, the airline’s interline partner. These flights also include a connection to Boston as well.

The launch of the nonstop flights from the Charleston area for the first time is expected to prove advantageous for the travelers and help in exploration of the two beautiful cities.”

Echoing Robert Deluce’s views, Paul G. Campbell, Jr., Director of Airports for the Charleston County Aviation Authority, said, “Canada is considered as the biggest source of international tourism for the residents of the Charleston area. The launch of nonstop flights to/from Toronto has opened new frontiers for the travelers from Charleston. With the launch of new services by Porter Airlines, the connectivity between Toronto and Charleston is expected to become much easier.”
