Premium economy class finds growing takers on long-haul routes

Media reports quoting various travel experts recently said that there is a growing demand for premium economy tickets on airlines conducting flights on long-haul routes.
 
The report said that the recent launch of premium economy flights by Cathay Pacific Airways between Delhi and Hong Kong conveys the importance being given by the airline to its customers in the Indian market.

The report indicated that the introduction of premium economy class cabins on its Delhi-Hong Kong route by Cathay Pacific Airways has been quite well taken by the customers traveling on this route.

Apart from Cathay Pacific Airways, other carriers offering premium economy on long-haul routes include Turkish Airlines, Air France, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Media reports said that premium economy cabins are being greatly preferred by both leisure and business travelers on routes of more than five hours. The reports revealed that the advantage of premium economy cabins being that they are positioned between the economy and business class, and are affordable in terms of comfort and pricing.
