Qantas Airways reconfigures A380 with more Economy Class seats

Qantas Airways recently announced it has reconfigured its Airbus A380 fleet and would be offering more Economy Class seats to its customers. With extra seats available now, the passengers can also look forward to book cheap flights more than ever before.

The airline in a statement said that all the 12 superjumbos in its Airbus fleet have been reconfigured with additional 34 seats in Economy Class cabin in each aircraft.

According to Qantas Airways, each of its Airbus A380 aircraft will now accommodate 484 passengers instead of the earlier 450 passengers. The airline has also reduced business class seats from the existing 72 to 64 seats now.

The airline stated that a new economy section at the rear of the upper deck would accommodate most of the additional economy class seats. These seats had been installed in the place where premium economy cabin was found previously. The premium economy has now been nudged forward into the rear of the old business class cabin.
