Qantas, oneworld partners unveil LAX Business Lounge final revamp

Qantas Airways along with its oneworld partners Cathay Pacific Airways and British Airways have jointly unveiled the final stage of the refurbishment of the Los Angeles Business Lounge.

Qantas Airways is the managing airline of Los Angeles Business Lounge. The final refurbishment will see more dining options and the opening of additional space. The stage one of the refurbishment was unveiled in June 2014, while during the second stage the adjacent Qantas First Lounge was opened in December 2014. March Newson was the chief architect behind the design of Qantas First Lounge.

Vanessa Hudson, Qantas Airways’ Regional General Manager, The Americas said, “The airline has been greatly excited to reveal to its customers taking business class flights from Los Angeles the full benefits of its multi-phased multi-million dollar lounge refurbishment.”

Ms Hudson also said that the completion of the refurbishment program clearly indicated the focus of the airline and its oneworld partners and the significant investment that has been made in the U.S. market. With the refurbishment now complete, the available space across both lounges has been tripled, more seats have been added, and a state-of-the-art kitchen installed. The customers traveling to/from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) can now look forward to enhanced dining options and even bigger menu than before.

According to Ms Hudson, the customers of Qantas Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways and British Airways would be able to enjoy and take full advantage of the additional features currently on offer in the fully refurbished Los Angeles Business Lounge.
