Qantas to move LAX-Brisbane operations to Tom Bradley Terminal

Qantas has announced its decision to shift its operations for Los Angeles-Brisbane sector to the freshly refurbished Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). The flagship carrier of Australia intends to bring all its departures on this international sector under one-roof in the city of Los Angeles. It will launch its service from this terminal beginning May 1, 2014.

Qantas, which is one of the preferred business class flights on this sector, is streamlining its departures from this terminal. It believes that this will help them better their customer service and hence enhance the customer experience. The airline has officially confirmed this report. The news is pleasant for travelers who chose to fly business class with it to Brisbane. Post launch, premium travelers will be able to access its new Los Angeles Business Lounge to open in April this year.

The current lounge is located at Level 5 of the terminal. It is spacious enough to accommodate 600 travelers at one point in time. The new lounge will however, be twice as big and accommodating as the present one. There would be place for standout around the fireplace that would present an opportunity for travelers to interact with fellow passengers and enjoy their time socializing until it’s time to fly to their respective destinations. The food and the menu served here would be a combination of Asian as well as local flavors. Passengers would also be able to take a sneak peek view into the kitchen from the dining area. Other amenities that would be offered here include a bar where a variety of flavorful drinks would be available.
