Qatar Airways begins A350 flights to 3 U.S. destinations in 2016

Qatar Airways recently announced it will be introducing A350 services to three destinations in the United States in 2016. The destinations where the airline will be conducting flights with the help of its Airbus A350 aircrafts include Boston, New York and Philadelphia.

A spokesperson of Qatar Airways in a statement said that the airline will be launching its first flights to Philadelphia from Doha starting from January 1. The airline also stated that two services will be launched in the month of March. The flights to New York JFK will start operating from March 1, while flights to Boston will begin from March 16. The three destinations will be served with daily A350 flight services from Doha''s Hamad International Airport.

Apart from launching A350 services to the three destinations, the airline further indicated that it will also be launching its first flight services to Los Angeles as well effective from January 1. More details on this new route are still awaited. 

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, expressed happiness over the launch of services to Philadelphia and other U.S. destinations. He said that Philadelphia is presently the sixth largest metropolitan area in the United States and is a prominent international business hub where at least seven Fortune 1000 companies are headquartered. He said, “”The launch of new A350 flights services to Philadelphia from January 1 next year will boost the airline''s position and strengthen its overall presence in the United States.””

Earlier, Qatar Airways already launched its A350 services to two destinations in Germany this year. The airline started operating flights to Frankfurt from Doha starting from January, while its second A350 flights to the same destination started in March.
