Qatar Airways increases capacity in business class launch A350

Qatar Airways recently announced it will now be offering more business class seats and provide better connectivity to the United States and Europe with the inclusion of Airbus A350 aircrafts in its fleet.
 
The airline also said that it has increased capacity to Singapore and introduced its new Airbus A350 aircraft on the route. The Doha-based carrier has until now been operating twice-daily flights to Singapore using its Boeing 787 aircrafts. The airline has now selected Singapore to be the first country in Asia to be served by its newly-acquired Airbus A350 aircraft.

Qatar Airways is the world’s first airline to receive Airbus A350 aircraft. It took its first delivery in December 2014, and deployed the aircraft on Frankfurt route.

The airline said that it will be introducing an additional daily flight to Singapore effective from June 1, 2015. The airline also announced that it will gradually replace its Dreamliners with Airbus A350 aircrafts so that it is able to conduct three daily flights to Singapore with the help of its Airbus A350 aircrafts by mid-August.

With the launch of new flights, the airline’s existing capacity to Singapore will significantly boost by 67 percent to more than 11,880 seats every week.

Qatar Airways has indicated that it will start conducting flights to Singapore utilizing its Airbus A350 aircraft effective from June 16. The airline will initially deploy one aircraft to serve the route, and later on introduce a second and third Airbus A350 aircraft in July and August respectively. The new daily flights will depart from Doha at 10.40 am and arrive in Singapore at 9.15 am.

The airline said that Airbus A350 aircraft will offer 36 business class seats. This is significantly more than the current 22 seats in business class cabins being offered by Boeing 787 aircraft.
