Qatar Airways marks first year of its nonstop Dallas-Doha flights

Qatar Airways recently celebrated the first anniversary of its nonstop flights to Dallas/Fort Worth from Doha. The daily flights between Doha's Hamad International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport were launched on July 1, 2014. The airline marked its first anniversary of Dallas-Doha flights following the bagging of ”Airline of the Year” award for 2015 by Skytrax.

Gunter Saurwein, Qatar Airways' Vice President – Americas, said, ”The nonstop flights to Dallas/Fort Worth has proved to be of great advantage to the U.S. travelers with flexible travel options and superior quality of service that the airline is renowned for. The service has also helped in building stronger business relationships across North Texas as well. The Dallas-Doha route has been an incredible success with seamless connections to more than 140 destinations worldwide.”

Saurvein said that during last year nearly 160,000 passengers flew by the airline between the two destinations, with more than half of the passengers took connecting flights to the 149 cities in the United States being served from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

The daily nonstop flights departs from Doha at 8:10 am and reaches Dallas/Fort Worth at 3:35 pm the same day. The overnight return flight departs from Dallas/Fort Worth at 8:00 pm and arrives in Doha at 6:20 pm next day. The airline serves the Dallas-Doha route with the help of a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, configured with 42 seats in business class and 217 seats in economy class.

Qatar Airways has also announced it will be launching flights services to three new cities in the United States in 2016. The airline will begin flights to Los Angeles on January 1, to Boston on March 16 and to Atlanta on June 1. The flights on these routes will be operated daily. The airline is currently serving seven destinations in the U.S., which includes Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, New York City and Washington D.C.
