Qatar Airways offers top-notch wines in business class

While it is hard to find a glass of good wine in a hotel of restaurant in the Middle Eastern State of Qatar, it’s totally a different sight when on board the national carrier Qatar Airways. It’s a pleasant surprise to see top-notch wines being offered to the customers when traveling in business class or other cabin classes.
 
A recent study said that Qatar Airways is among the best carriers in the world to have one of the well-curated and most extensive wine programs in the world. Media reports said that the airline is offering top-notch wines such as Billecart-Salmon Brut and Taittinger Prestige Rosé on its business class flights between Doha’s Hamad International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The reports further said that the lovers of white-wine were offered a wide selection when flying in the business class. The assorted wine selection included Château Dereszla 5 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú 2008; Kopke Colheita 1974; Errázuriz Don Maximiano Founders Reserve 2009; St Hallett Faith Barossa Valley Shiraz 2011; Château Phélan-Ségur 2006; McWilliams Elizabeth Semillon 2006; Petit Clos Sauvignon Blanc 2011; and Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune du Château 2010.

The reports said that nearly 90 percent of the wine selection is changed by the airline after every three months. Also, different kinds of wines are offered on inbound and outbound flights. Once the right wines are found the airline wants to keep it on its list for quite some time, and makes the changes whenever it feels the necessity as it doesn’t want its customers to get bored with the drinks offered to them.
