Qatar Airways presented ‘Up In The Air’ Award amid U.S. expansion

Qatar Airways continues to be widely appreciated and acknowledged for its world-class in-flight experience. The airline has been presented with the “Up In The Air” Award during the recently concluded independent travel conference Future Global Travel Experience 2015 in Las Vegas.

The “Up In The Air” Award prominently focuses on the critical role being played by the emerging technology and service and the manner in which the in-flight experience will be changed by 2025. The award acknowledges the role being played by the top airlines in the world and the advancements being played by them.

The prestigious award has come at a time when Qatar Airways is right on course to expand and add new direct routes from its main hub at Doha’s Hamad International Airport and the United States. Media reports said that the airline is planning to introduce nonstop flights to Boston, Atlanta and Los Angeles in 2016.

Qatar Airways will also be launching a second flight to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The airline will be deploying its latest flagship Airbus A350 aircraft to operate its second daily service to New York JFK as well as current Philadelphia route. The airline is the Global Launch Customer of the flagship Airbus A350 aircraft.

Apart from winning the recent “Up In The Air” Award for 2015, the airline has also received several prestigious awards as well. Qatar Airways was also honoured in 2015 during the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards. The airline was presented the “Best Airline in the Middle East”, “Best Business Class Airline Seat” and “Airline of the Year” for 2015 at Skytrax awards presentation ceremony.
