Qatar Airways to launch flights on new U.S. routes

State of Qatar’s national flag carrier Qatar Airways will be launching flights to Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and Detroit, media reports recently indicated.

According to the reports, the airline will begin offering flight deals on these new routes when it launches the flights within the next year. The airline is scheduled to take the delivery of up to 60 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts soon.

Akbar al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, said that the airline had planned to launch new U.S. routes much earlier, but the only thing that stopped from introducing new flights earlier is the delayed delivery of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts.

The airline is, however, yet to reveal its plans whether it will be serving the new routes with the help of newly-acquired Dreamliner aircraft.
Currently, Qatar Airways is operating flights to both Washington and Houston with the help of B777 aircrafts.

The airline is all set to take the delivery of the first Dreamliner this summer. The aircraft will be featuring a brand new business class product, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
