Qatar Introduces All Business Class Service to London

Qatar Airways launched its very first all-business class service to London from its hub at Doha International Airport. This has raised the stakes on the already competitive London-Gulf sector by a notch.

Operated by narrow-bodied Airbus A319 aircraft this all-business class flight has made Qatar the first airline in the industry to offer ‘Business One’ service from the Terminal 4 at London Heathrow. With this Qatar will now fly six times day between London-Doha. The newly added flight will increase the frequency on the London Heathrow to Doha route to 42 weekly flights from the existing 35. This additional service comes just before Qatar’s launch of A380 service on the same route from June 17.

40 premium business class seats, configured in 2-2 seating will recline and convert into fully-flat beds. These seats will offer the best of the specifications provided till date by any airline, like wider seats and state of the art Oryx entertainment system, boasting more than 1,000 entertainment alternatives. Passengers flying on this class will also remain connected to their friends, family and piers with the help of GPRS service during their flight and SMS mobile texting GSM when on ground.

Flights will departs from Doha at 1450 hours and arrive in Heathrow T4 at 2025 hours. Return flight will leave Heathrow at 2155 hours and arrive in Doha at 0640 hours the next day. The schedule for this additional service has been clocked keeping in mind that business fliers wish at maximizing their working time in Doha or London.
