Ryanair Stansted-Barcelona route

Ryanair, a low cost carrier, is planning to introduce new twice daily flights from London Stansted to Barcelona El Prat airport from 1st December. The introduction of these new cheap flights would replace the existing Girona service.

Through this move, the airline would downgrade its Girona airport base once the flights are dropped from the start of the coming winter season.

The move, while bringing many cheap air ticket options to budget travelers, would also bring in good news for business class travelers since the Barcelona El Prat airport is only 7.5 miles from the city as opposed to Girona's location, which was nearly 60 miles north of the city.

The new flights will leave Stansted at 0615 and 1740 and arrive Barcelona airport’s Terminal 2 at 0945 and 2110 respectively.

The return flights would depart Spain at 1020 and 2145 and reach London at 1140 and 2305.
