San Jose International Airport Gets a New Passenger Lounge

San Jose International Airport's Terminal A gets a new passenger lounge known as "The Club". Located on Terminal A's third floor, this lounge has been specially built keeping in mind the Elite passengers flying on All Nippon Airways.

ANA has recently started operating its Dreamliner 787 San Jose-Tokyo international flights. Hence a premium lounge area was very much required to cater the needs of its business travelers. Located in an area of 7,400-square-foot, this lounge provides of the airfield and eastern foothills.

Built with a total cost of $1.6 million this lounge will be accessible to all San Jose International travelers. Who are either a member of Priority Pass or buy a $35 day pass to gain access to the lounge.

The airport earlier had a lounge operated by American Airlines, which however was closed in 2010 post the airlines starting flying fewer flights to San Jose.

Airport director of aviation, Bill Sherry said that, San Jose Airport was in dire need of a premium lounge. As without its absence international carriers would think twice before operating out of a medium-size airport. Even business travelers expect a certain level of services and comfort.

The Club at SJC will be operational from 0500hours to 2200hours daily and will offer facilities like good food, Wi-Fi, shower services, power plugs for digital travelers, Japanese design flourishes.
