Scoot gears to welcome its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner this year

Scoot, the budget wing of Singapore Airlines is all to welcome a new member to its fleet this year. The low cost carrier based out of Singapore Changi Airport is excited to add Boeing’s state of the art 787-9 Dreamliner to its fleet. It is preparing to receive the latest addition in November 2014.

This airline is a part of the Singapore Airlines Group and at present operates service to about 12 destinations. Passengers, who book airline tickets with it, can fly to as far as Australia and China. At present it uses the services of Boeing 777 planes.

Singapore Airlines is one of the premier airlines in the world offering flights to about 62 destinations worldwide. It serves the cities of Chicago, Houston, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and New York City in the United States. Popular for its luxurious ambiance and excellent onboard services, its low cost subsidiary seems to take cues from it and follow its footsteps.

In line with its changing philosophy, the carrier is set to configure the latest B787 with overall 375 seats. Of these 375 seats, 35 will be fitted in its premium cabin called ScootBiz. The rest 340 seats will be available in the economy class.

The airline is looking to expand its fleet size and hence is constantly placing orders for new aircrafts as per its own requirements. Established in 2011, the airline offers smooth connections at low fares to passengers within and outside of Singapore.
