Second London Gatwick-New York JFK service launched by Norwegian

The London Gatwick-New York JFK route has been expanded with increased frequencies. Norway’s leading low-cost carrier Norwegian has recently launched an additional daily flights service to be operated every morning between London’s Gatwick Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The increased frequency will operate on all days, except Wednesdays.

Media reports said that the airline’s additional morning frequency will be complementing the existing late afternoon service being conducted by Norwegian on the same London Gatwick-New York JFK route. The newly launched second additional service will depart from London Gatwick between 05:35 hours and 07:00 hours, which will however depend on the day of operation. The return flight will make its departure from New York JFK at 11:15 hours daily, except on Wednesdays, and arrives in London Gatwick at 23:15 hours.

While providing the schedule of the second daily service, Norwegian in a statement said that the departures on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays will be at 05:50 hours and arrivals at 08:50 hours. On Thursdays, the flight will take off from London Gatwick at 06:45 hours and lands at New York JFK at 09:45 hours. The departure on Saturdays will be at 05:35 hours and arrival at 08:35 hours. However, on Sundays the flight will depart at 07:00 hours and arrives at 10:00 hours. The existing service during late afternoon departs from London Gatwick at 17:05 hours and arrives in New York JFK at 23:00 hours.

Thomas Ramdahl, COO of Norwegian, said, “The second service having been launched now will surely benefit the travelers from London particularly in a big way. This will enable them to visit New York City in only one day. This has become possible because of the newly launched morning flights from London Gatwick and the return ‘red eye’ flight from New York JFK in late evening. Both leisure as well as business travelers stand to benefit. The leisure travelers will able to experience Big Apple in just 24 hours, while business travelers can fulfill their chores in a day.”
