Silver Airways launching New Orleans-Birmingham flights June 16

Fort Lauderdale-based low cost carrier Silver Airways recently announced it will be launching nonstop flights to Birmingham and Pensacola starting from June 16, 2015. The airline will be operating twice daily nonstop flights to Birmingham from New Orleans, while the nonstop flights between New Orleans and Pensacola will be operated once daily.

The airline also said that it will also launch nonstop daily weekday flights between Jacksonville and Birmingham starting June 16 as well. Silver Airways will also be launching flights services to other destinations as well in the month of June. A spokesperson of the airline said that nonstop daily service will start operating between Savannah-Hilton Head and Orlando effective from June 23, 2015.

To mark the launch of nonstop flights services to these destinations, Silver Airways is offering cheap airfares to its customers. The airline also said that the customers will also be able to win a pair of roundtrip flight tickets to any of the destinations being currently served by Silver Airways under its Silver Airways Fly Away Sweepstakes offer. The discounted airfares will be valid for travel from June 23 till October 28, 2015.

Silver Airways mostly serves destinations in Florida and the Bahamas. The airline is presently operating nearly 145 daily flights on an average to 30 destinations in Florida, the Bahamas and Southeast U.S. The airline is also serving the Mid-Atlantic region as well from Washington-Dulles. Silver Airways, which owns a fleet of 24 fuel-efficient 34-seat Saab 340B Plus turbo-prop aircrafts, also has interline agreements with many U.S and international carriers, including American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, US Airways, Delta Air Lines, All Nippon Airways, Hahn Air and Bahamasair.
